Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my home decor journey, motherhood and fashion. Hope you have a nice stay!

Master Bedroom Refresh

Master Bedroom Refresh

I have been wanting to switch up our Master Bedroom for a long time and when I saw this wallpaper from MuralsWallpaper I knew it was time and I had to do it. It is still a work in progress but I wanted to show you guys what we have done so far and link all the products that we used. The first thing we did was add this beautiful wallpaper. We used Dusty and LOVE how it turned out. The process to put it up was really simple and easy as well.

We also switched out our old fan with the boob light and added in a fan from Lamps Plus. We liked how much higher this was because it opened up the room and the white modern look also brightened up the space.

Next we wanted to add more modern lights that actually produced enough light so we could read at night. We didn’t want to have to drill into the wall though, so we found these lights from Lamps Plus and knew they were perfect!

Next on the list we knew we wanted to add some new furniture. We wanted a more mid century modern feel to go with the lights and the fan. Plus we wanted to make the furniture less bulky so that the wallpaper could really shine. We found the perfect Sylvester side tables from Poly and Bark.

We also wanted a neutral rug to go under the bed to add some layers, texture and patters to our boring carpet. We found the Casablanca Area rug from Poly and Bark and it is less than $200 for an 8x10!

Last we wanted to have a bed with a lower headboard and a less masculine look. Our ceilings aren’t that high so we needed a lower headboard to make the room appear bigger. We also wanted something lighter to brighten up the space. We chose the Jeterson Upholstered Platform Bed from Wayfair in a king size.

There you have it! Our Master Bedroom Refresh as of now. Next up is a new dresser, thanks to an IKEA hack I discovered so stay tuned. See the progression of the bedroom below, it is a one year time span :) I will add a fourth one once we have the new bed in.

Cheers!

Janelle
