Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my home decor journey, motherhood and fashion. Hope you have a nice stay!

How to Style a Console Table

How to Style a Console Table

Here is the overall breakdown of my thought process when styling a console table. The sources are tagged (if possible) underneath each picture.

I always start with a focal point and then work around that. I like to work with odd numbers when doing a focal point, so either one large object or three numbers in varying height. I ordered these candlesticks from Amazon and my console table is from Living Spaces. Artwork is from The Printed Home and paint color is California Coral by Behr.

I was ,keeping this style more neutral. I thrifted the vase, bookends are from Target and Books are from Elements by Amber.

I start working my way down and in this case I wanted to create a look of symmetry. I am still working with odd numbers though, three books stacked one wooden box. I just used extra fabric to cover some books I had lying around and the box was something that was given to me awhile ago. Shopping my home is one of my favorite ways to change up a space without breaking the bank.

The last step is always adding the final touches for layering and extra texture. I had this driftwood from a vacation we took and I also had the bowl and balls already. I try to work with stuff I already have by shopping my home to save money. The faux plant is from Target, candles are anthropologie and Craft and Kin. The black bowl and the beads I scored at the Long Beach Flea Market.

That is just a quick, fun styling job that you can do at home with stuff you have around the house and it creates a fun new feel for a space.

Cheers!

Janelle
